Playing with Granddad and Mimi

Ollie had so much fun playing with Granddad and Mimi, who gave him SO much love and attention during our visit. Granddad even stayed up with him when he had trouble sleeping one night. A push-up from Granddad is what finally did the trick!
Ollie followed Granddaddy around like a puppy dog. Here, they are reading a book that Mimi gave Ollie. I think Ollie requested it be read to him about a hundred times! Ollie and Granddad also played a lot of Mancala and foozball. Lucky Ollie.

Ollie got to visit Mimi at school...which was quite an adventure. The visit started out a little rocky because Ollie was bummed out. We brought Mimi some birthday flowers...but Ollie wanted to give her either blue flowers or sunflowers, and the store didn't have either. Needless to say, he was NOT pleased.

"Drawlering" (an Ollie word combining drawing and coloring) on Mimi's white board made everything better!

YUMMY! Making rice krispie treats with Granddaddy.

Ollie tastes the butter in the pan while Granddaddy stirs.

The lockers at Mimi's school were so cool! Ollie liked hiding and having Mimi find him. Mimi was so nice to play with Ollie! Ollie also really liked the tetherball on the playground, which he still talks about.

Saying goodbye after a WONDERFUL visit. Thank you, Granddad and Mimi! We love you.

Our little musician liked the instruments at Granddad and Mimi's house. We were particularly impressed with his ability to play the drum and the piano simultaneously! :)
