February

We had a lovely picnic with friends from Yale this afternoon. It was so nice to spend time with them, and the boys had fun playing outside on a beautiful day. Ollie & Indie kept holding hands while walking through the grass. It was quite sweet. Indie was hilarious when walking on his own. Whenever he happened to topple over, either on his tummy or back (both of which happen periodically, as he does have a rather large head!), he would just lay in the grass without moving an inch, grunting for assistance. The grass was prickly, so we're guessing he didn't like the sensation on his body when he tried to move...which is understandable, it just looked so funny...like a turtle stuck upside-down.

Ollie has yet another funny phrase. When others might use the phrase, "to look after something," Ollie has started saying, "Do you want me to look off to that for you?" We're guessing he's seen one too many British cartoons! ha!

Ollie was trying to untie a knot this evening. I asked if he needed my help. He replied, "No, Mama. I think I'll just sing. Singing usually helps me untie knots." (And it did. His "I'm untying a knot" song is one of my new favorites!)

Fire fighter Indie & Super Ollie to the rescue!

Ollie loves to try on my glasses, especially accompanied with a jelly face!
