Indie Leif

This picture was taken three days before Indie Leif was born. Ollie liked talking to him like this.

Mimi and Granddad came to stay with Ollie while we were in the hospital. They had so much fun! Ollie especially looks forward to storytime with his grandparents. It was comforting to know that Ollie was being loved and adored during this huge transition while his mama and daddy were away.

Almost there! I love Christopher's get-up. It's almost as cool as my sweet formal wear here.

Post-op in the recovery room. Success! Welcome, Indie Leif.

Big boy. Though a full pound smaller, at birth, than Ollie...Indie Leif held his own at 8 lb. 10 oz.

"Hello, Mimi."

"Hello, Granddad." Granddad had the misfortune of getting sick...so was kind enough to wear a disguise in the hospital room.

Our friends, Callista and Sean, stop by for a visit.

"Hi, Daddy!"

"Hello, big brother!"

Ollie is an amazing big brother. He was so excited to meet Indie Leif...and was so sweet and gentle with him. When he arrived at the hospital, he looked at me and then the baby and asked, "Is he out?"

Nose nuzzle.

Two day old smile.

Fuss Bucket.

After five days, finally home from the hospital.

A family picture before we leave the hospital.

Hospital beds are so cool and were definitely a highlight of Ollie's trips to visit Mama and Indie.

I still love seeing Ollie's little bum in his "big boy" undies. :)

Our first morning at home together. Snuggle time for the boys.

MISCELLANEOUS VIDEOS

Ollie likes to make coffee for everyone.

Hospital bed.

Brothers!

We love you, Indie Leif, and are so glad you're here!

More April

Ollie had a good time decorating his first Easter eggs. He was so careful and especially enjoyed mixing his own colors with food coloring.

Our egg chicken family.

Evidence of creativity.

Playing with Sean and his keys.

Full body painting. Ollie LOVES painting...everything. Thank goodness for washable paints!

One of Ollie's special responsibilities is watering our plant, Peter Pan. We are especially amused when he takes the initiative to do it on his own...getting the watering can, filling it with water, and making his way to Peter Pan independently.

Who knew painting could be so delicious?

The fig newton dizzy dance.

April

Ollie cooking in his kitchen. Mimi made his apron and pot holders. Ollie likes to talk about how he's a chef...just like Daddy.

Our happy boy.

Indie and Mama...three weeks before his birth.

Huh?

Ollie playing in a box of his baby clothes as we prepare for Indie's arrival. He had fun trying on the hat he received in the hospital.

In the weeks before Indie was born, we were not only preparing for his birth...but also planning a move and finishing my last semester before graduating. Needless to say, we were living in chaos, which the images in the following videos reveal. More importantly, however, they reveal our Ollie being as cute as ever.
